Abstract

The current research aimed at developing cognitive flexibility, curiosity, and enjoyment of learning among students of the preparatory school, by measuring the impact of the interactive video search style (tables of contents / interactive concept maps / bookmarks) in a learning environment based on cloud computing applications, and the research sample consisted of (90) male and female students of the first year of preparatory school were randomly divided into three equal experimental groups with the pre and post measurement, and the measurement tools were the measures of cognitive flexibility, curiosity, and enjoyment of learning, and the most important results showed that the first experimental group (interactive video search style, tables of contents) achieved better results than the other experimental groups in terms of curiosity and enjoyment of learning, followed by the third group (interactive video search style as bookmarks) and then the second (interactive video search style, interactive concepts maps). While the second experimental group (interactive video search style, interactive concept maps) achieved better results than the other experimental groups in terms of cognitive flexibility, followed by the first group (interactive video search style tables of contents) and then the third (interactive video search style bookmarks), and the research recommends increasing the use of Environments based on cloud computing applications, and the need to pay attention to designing interactive video search styles because of their good impact on the development of many learning outcomes.
