Abstract

This research aimed to reveal impact of the interaction between two types of visual media (photos - video) in the interactive e-book and the learning style (holistic - analytical), and its impact on the development of technological skills and motivation for learning. An achievement test, an observation card, and a measure of motivation for learning were used as research tools. The sample consisted of (40) students, who were divided into four experimental groups. The results showed a statistically significant difference between the average scores of students in achievement as a result of the difference in the visual media style in favor of the group that used video, and the absence of a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of students in achievement due to learning style. The results also indicated that there were no significant differences between the average scores of four experimental groups in the post-measurement of practical performance due to the two types visual media in the interactive e-book, and there were no significant differences between the average scores of experimental groups in the practical performance due to learning style. While the results confirmed presence of significant differences between the mean scores of experimental groups in the post-measurement of motivation for learning due to visual media style. The results also revealed that there were no significant differences in achievement, skill performance, and motivation to learn as a result of the interaction between two types of of visual media in the interactive e-book and the learning style.
