A blended learning environment based on games incentives in its electronic part to develop some of the skills of designing and creating databases among computer teacher students and their involvement in the learning environment.
The aim of the current research is to develop the skills of designing and creating databases, with both their cognitive and performance aspects, and engaging in the learning environment among first-year computer teacher students by employing games incentives in the electronic part of a blended learning environment. The research sample consisted of (60) male and female students from the first-year division. Computer teacher at the Faculty of Specific Education - Port Said University in the Computer Applications in Education 2 course, distributed into two experimental groups with (30) students for each experimental group. The researchers used tools for experimental treatment, which were: First: a blended learning environment (combining traditional education and e-learning using electronic games incentives), second: a blended learning environment (combining traditional education and e-learning using an electronic educational environment). The measurement tools were: the achievement test, a note card for skills, and a measure of engagement in the blended learning environment. The research results found that there was a statistically significant difference. Between the average scores of the students of the first experimental group (which studied in a blended learning environment based on electronic games incentives) and the second experimental group (which studied in a blended learning environment based on an electronic educational environment) in both the achievement test and the measure of engagement in the blended learning environment in favor of the first experimental group.
