E-Collaborative Learning Environment Based on Two Different Chatbot’s Designs and its Effect on Programming Skills Among Secondary School Students.

Abstract

The current research aimed to develop an E-Collaborative Learning Environment based on two different chatbots’ designs (Content-Oriented/ User-Oriented) to explore its effect on programming skills among secondary school students in Riyadh city. The descriptive Analysis, systematic development, and quasi-experimental were used for two experimental groups with pre- and post- measurements. The achievement test and observation card were used as research tools, the research’s sample consisted of (53) secondary school students who were divided randomly into two groups, one taught using a content-oriented chatbot design in E-collaborative learning environment, and the other using a user- oriented chatbot design in E-collaborative learning environment, the research result revealed a statistically significant difference at a significance level of (α ≥ 0.05) between the mean scores of the post- application of the achievement test and observation card in favor of the second experimental group taught using a user- oriented chatbot design in E-collaborative learning environment. Based on the study results, many recommendations and prospects were suggested.
