Data was collected by questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The results of the study revealed the need of learners in middle school for applied technology aimed at enhancing the meanings of their national identity. In addition, the results indicated the effectiveness of the proposed design, which relied on the user-centered theory to enhance the concepts and meanings of national identity, in addition to achieving the goals of ease of use. and user experience. With regard to local design preferences, the results of the study indicated the contribution of the proposed design in obtaining design standards and preferences to localize the design for Saudi learners in middle school
