The distance learning systematic in higher education institutions in the light of the Covid- 19 pandemic: reality and expectations

Abstract

The spread of the Covid -19 pandemic and the social and physical distancing it requires has led to the closure of universities and other institutions of higher education in most parts of the world, including the Arab World; Hence, this paper of the analytical and theoretical nature comes to shed more light on distance learning in its contemporary interactive concept as a systematic and the extent of its contribution to achieve physical distancing in facing this pandemic and reducing infection by providing an interactive geographically distributed environment in which digital communication media are used to communicate the information where there is the learner, is far away from the traditional method of obtaining information. On the other hand, the paper aims to reach some effective solutions for teaching in higher education institutions in the light of this pandemic due to the optimal use of the distance learning systematic in its interactive concept in transferring the instruction events from the learning of the whole group to the learning of each individual in the group, and then reaching the final objectives of instruction technology by ensuring that each student learns according to his preparations and capabilities.The paper included some conclusions that reflect the researcher's point of view and hopes that distance learning in its contemporary concept and its interactive using will have a wide place in the literature of university education.
